For Disney Magical Audio Stories, in collaboration with De Agostini, I recorded the Romanian narration for an interactive physical product created for children. I performed the stories and their characters while maintaining one consistent narrator across the complete project.
Client and industry
Disney and De Agostini operate in the family content and publishing space. This project combines children's audio storytelling with a physical product distributed in Romania through Inmedio and Magazinul Colectionarului stores.
The project
Disney Magical Audio Stories, in collaboration with De Agostini, bring interactive storytelling into children's homes. Young listeners play each story on an interactive speaker. A QR code on the physical product box activates the audio content.
I recorded the complete Romanian narration in 2025.
The challenge
The stories needed a recognizable narrative voice, even as the characters, settings and emotions changed. The schedule included several recording sessions each week, so every performance had to remain consistent throughout a demanding production rhythm.
Children needed to recognize the same narrator from one story to the next. Each scene also called for its own energy, intention and emotional detail. The quality standards carried Disney approval, and every session had to meet the same performance benchmark.
My role
- I provided the Romanian narrative voice throughout the project.
- For each character, I adjusted the pace, energy and intention while protecting the unity of the story.
- Different scenes received an emotional tone suited to their context and young audience.
- I followed the brand voice guidelines and the direction given during each session.
- Across recordings, I kept the vocal tone, diction and narrative dynamics consistent.
- I delivered the files according to the production team's required structure.
How I worked
I recorded through live directed sessions with the international production team. The directors listened in real time and gave me immediate feedback on pacing, characters, emotion and pronunciation.
This workflow allowed us to adjust every line during the session. The brand voice guidelines gave us a shared reference across all stories and characters.
The result
My voice reaches children through a physical product they can explore in their own rooms. The interactive speaker turns each box into an entry point for a new story.
Disney Magical Audio Stories, in collaboration with De Agostini, create a direct connection between the physical object, the listening experience and a child's imagination.
What this project means
This project shows how much vocal consistency matters across a large collection of children's content. The narrator needs to feel familiar, while every character must remain lively and distinct.
The experience supports publishers and audio product producers who need continuity, directed sessions and careful alignment with an established brand voice.
Children's stories need honesty. Young listeners can tell immediately when the emotion is missing. I loved stepping into each world while keeping the familiar voice that accompanies them from one story to the next.
